Emily B – Creative Project – Stuart, Florida Photographer

Every so often, when I am feeling a burst of extra creativity, I do a side project.  Typically it is something out of the norm & something that most clients wouldn’t be open to doing.  Well, when I felt that burst, I just KNEW that I wanted Emily to pose for me.  I wanted to do a shoot in a cemetery.  Yes, I know – you are asking WHY on earth would I want to shoot in a cemetery.  Why not???  LOL

When I approached Emily about doing a shoot like this she was on board immediately.  She is quite a creative artist herself.  I knew that she would be able to convey the feel I wanted from the shoot.  Boy, was I right!  Emily knocked it out of the park.  One of the things they teach you when you learn OCF (off camera flash) techniques is to NEVER shoot the flash from below & up onto a subject.  Why, you ask…..well, because it gives that “creepy” “eery” feel.  That was EXACTLY what I did.  LOL.  I wanted my images to convey that creepiness.  I was shooting in a cemetery for this shoot – so why not!  LOL

Here are some of my favorite images from this project.  A couple of the images I really played with and overlayed some textures on.  I am not one who typically includes that in my portrait work; but I thought in this case, it was warranted.
