Love Yourself & Celebrate You! – Southeast Florida Boudoir Photography

It used to be that “boudoir” sessions were a secret.  I never quite understood the stigma behind them.  However, for 2012, I am on a mission to help women LOVE THEMSELVES!  Everyone has things about themselves that they are uncomfortable with.  Society has tried to make women believe that it isn’t sexy to have curves.  Well, I am here to tell you that THEY ARE DEAD WRONG!  I believe there is nothing sexier than curves!

I have always photographed boudoir sessions, but I never really advertised it.  Honestly, I was worried about how it would affect my business.  After some soul searching I realized that I just DID NOT CARE what anyone thought.  I wanted women to love everything about themselves.  I wanted them to show off those things that they were most proud of.  I wanted to help them learn that everyone has SOMETHING that they love about themselves.  Look in the mirror, what do you see?  Don’t focus on the things you don’t care for…….focus on those things you like!  There has got to be something; is it your shoulders, your eyes, your lips, your legs?  Come on, there is something, you know there is!

I want you all to know that it is not about your size, your color, your height, your weight; it’s about LOVING YOU!  If I hear one more person say, if I could just loose some weight, then I could do a session – I am gonna scream.  I am a plus size woman and I am doing it!  So can you!

In my marketing of these sessions, I have decided NOT to call them boudoir sessions.  Not because of the stigma, but because for me, it’s more than just that.  For me – these sessions are about CELEBRATING everything you love about yourself.  The name was born – CELEBRATE YOU!   That is what it is all about.  It’s about Celebrating YOU!  It’s not about doing a session for your significant other (although that is the ultimate purpose in many cases), it’s about doing it to see yourself in a whole new light.  To celebrate the things you do love about yourself.

I hear many people say that they think everyone is photoshopped to look great.  Unfortunately, our commercial media is the main reason people thing this way.  However, I am different.  I believe in photographing you in the most flattering light and positions.  If it doesn’t hurt, it’s not gonna look good…lol  No, seriously – its about shooting it right for me.  It’s about accentuating the positive and camouflaging the “not so positive”.

I decided to do a quick “Behind the Scenes” video to give you a glimpse into what a “Celebrate You” session is all about.  Check it out.

Oh, and one last thing; YES, I do use Photoshop to get rid of zits and things like that.  Don’t worry that your images aren’t going to be glamorized.  I just want you to realize & see how beautiful you are BEFORE we use those tools to make you look EVEN BETTER!
